About the event

Tai chi (or Taijiquan) is a Chinese mind-body practice combining slow, gentle movements, deep breathing, and meditation, often called "meditation in motion" for its calming effects. Originating as a martial art, it is now practiced for its many health benefits.


Tai Chi offers benefits like improved balance, flexibility, focus, and stress relief, making it accessible for nearly any age or fitness level. Tai Chi focuses on flowing, graceful movements and breathing to promote the circulation of "Qi" (life energy). Characterized by a straight spine, deep abdominal breathing, and natural range of motion, like a slow dance.
